Chronology

Several pieces of paper were passed out to the class, one with each of the following titles printed on it: Magna Carta, House of Burgesses, Mayflower Compact, Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, English Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, Federalist Papers.

Upon receiving a sheet of paper, students had to assemble themselves in chronological order at the front of class and explain what they knew about each. We then repeated this process.

13 Colonies Class Chart

Several pieces of paper were passed out to the class, one with each of the following titles printed on it: Fertile Soil, Fertile Soil, Rocky Soil, Agriculture, Agriculture & Manufacturing, Manufacturing, Economic Opportunities, Economic Opportunities & Religious Freedom, Religious Freedom.

Upon receiving a piece of paper students had to place it on the chart drawn onto the whiteboard with a magnet. We then repeated this process.
